How do I build the WhatsApp link?
Use https://wa.me/ followed by your full phone number in international format without +, spaces or dashes — for example https://wa.me/15551234567. Paste that into the URL field of the generator.
Can the chat open with a message already typed?
Yes. Append ?text= with a URL-encoded message, e.g. https://wa.me/15551234567?text=Hello. The customer still has to press send.
Does it work with WhatsApp Business?
Yes — wa.me links work for regular and WhatsApp Business numbers. The scanning phone needs WhatsApp installed (or it opens WhatsApp Web).
What if my number changes?
